While the first version of Google’s Android Assistant was centered on voice commands until Google added visual elements inspired by Smart Display, such as on-screen controls, Google intends to improve the Assistant. In 2020, a snapshot feed with personalized recommendations and future events became available.

To this end, Google seeks to make the phone’s format easier to use, which is demonstrated mainly by its new memory feature. This feature allows users to quickly save and find all items in one location for ease of use. The tool’s features provide a screen capture of any digital location visited, including the ability to save links hosted on pages the user engages with.

Second, the Memory tool can store real-world items, such as handwritten notes, objects, and posters, in memory. In fact, Assistant Memory can even save reminders and user thoughts for later access. Finally, the search and smart organization element allows users to find all of these items in one place, saving time and effort.

With regard to savings features, Google Assistant Memory can track articles, books, contacts, events, flights, hotels, photos, movies, locations, music, images, notes, playlists, products, recipes, reminders, restaurants , screenshots, shipments, TV series, videos, and websites.

Users can use the Google Assistant home screen or verbal command to store items. The memory resource can also maintain the context of a stored item, such as related location, screenshots and URLs.

Once the information is stored in memory, users can view all of that data in a new memory feed that resides beside the existing snapshot. Operating in reverse chronological order, Google will display the oldest Memories, as well as those of today, in the form of card entries. These entries are special cards available when you save any Google Docs, Drawings, Forms, Jamboard, Sheets, and Sites files to Drive, offering a preview of the document for each one.

In fact, Assistant Memory can even include contextually related actions, such as Cooking time (for recipes), Open Chat, Search flight status, Track Shipment and Watch Trailer, among other possibilities. Amid these offers, users will also be able to set repeated location alarms and reminders. In fact, the search bar at the top of the tool still contains the options “Important” and “Read later”, where users can organize and delete as needed.
