Goodbye, Katie and 6 more women count all the shocking

Things change so quickly in the Bachelor universe.

A few weeks ago, producers chose Katie Thurston as the next Bachelorette, and Bachelor Nation approved the choice on social media after the news leaked during a recording of the meeting. AND then presenter Chris Harrison decided to defend the racial insensitivity of Rachael Kirkconnell’s past during a Extra interview with Rachel Lindsay, and it all fell apart.

Now, Chris is on a hiatus, Rachael apologizes, Rachel is off Instagram (and possibly the franchise) and Emmanuel I think is the host of After the Final Rose Special. And as viewers learned this Monday, The bachelor: women tell everything, Katie is no longer THE single apparent heir. This “leak” was edited, and the most Katie could do was a coil full of warm and affectionate moments that she shared with Matt. It looks like the producers are really trying to work on the race and diversity issue of their hit reality show, and the next bachelorette party is likely to be black, mixed race, or Asian. Better luck next time, Katie.

But angry at Katie for controlling herself when everyone from Pieper to Serena C. questioned her reasons for telling Matt about the toxicity and bullying going on at the house. Mari called Katie a hypocrite for speaking ill of Sarah (remember her?) Only to defend her right away. But Katie called it “learning and growing”. Speaking of which, how shocked were you that Victoria really apologized to Katie for calling her names? This is much more than Ryan received from Victoria, who not only acted defensively, but called Ryan emotional and questioned his “disturbance”. That is not a word, madam.

KATIE IN THE DEFENSIVE |

Perhaps part of the animosity directed at Katie came from the fact that the other women were irritated that she was the next single. But Katie did not help when she said that the reaction that some women received on social media was “karma”. That’s when Chelsea (and her amazing new blonde) said, “Um, excuse me?”

Katie said Chelsea questioned her, but Khaylah, whom Katie described as one of the show’s best competitors, said Chelsea was really trying to promote dialogue and understanding. Bang.

VICTORIA AND MJ IN THE DEFENSIVE | Victoria said Ryan needed to have tougher skin because she did when viewers made fun of her swollen eye and bra straps. But again, Victoria confessed to Matt, who didn’t make it until the final 20 minutes of the special, that she was wrong for saying mean things about him after being kicked out. And in what was easily her most honest and genuine moment, Victoria said that she did these things out of insecurity. Wow, Matt’s cool guy / road look finally got to Victoria. As an added bonus, the blooper roll highlighting every time Victoria said “literally” got a laugh and even made the self-proclaimed Queen laugh.

MJ, on the other hand, still seems to blame Jessenia for her departure. She did not apologize to Jessenia, but admitted that her “varsity / junior varsity” jokes, which is how she described the original competitors versus those who were late, went too far. Needless to say, MJ and Jessenia will never be friends.

CONFRONTATION OF BRITTANY AND ANNA | Chris, who filmed the show before his license went into effect, called Brittany to the hot seat, where she said she didn’t show up The bachelor be bullied. Unfortunately, that’s what happened when Anna told everyone that Brittany was a top-notch escort. Brittany said that while she appreciated Anna’s apology in Women Tell Everything, it would have meant more if Anna had reached out to her when the episode aired. Brittany also added a very timely message to sex workers. Although she is not one, Brittany said that no one should embarrass those who are sex workers because, after all, it is an occupation and nothing more. Anna, for her part, said that she spread these rumors because of insecurity and anger, and that she is trying to be a better person.

CRAZY OUTTAKES AND OPEN EYES |

Apparently, there is footage that fans haven’t seen, including a challenge in which women put their hands in boxes full of insects and other disgusting and crawling things to grab wedding rings. In another challenge, women at a group meeting had to swallow pancakes and beer and, in another, raw eggs. ECA. Thank God for the edition.

That said, the editors couldn’t do much to hide the fact that Matt kisses with his eyes open. Chris and all the women scoffed at the now very bearded bachelor about the quirk, and Matt said he now realizes that it is a very scary thing to do.

MATT AND SERENA P. MOVE ON | Serena P. confessed that she liked Matt until he met his family, and then she realized that her feelings were not as strong as they should be. Although it still doesn’t make a lot of sense, Serena said she wants her ex-boyfriend to be happy. Matt thanked him for his honesty and said that it allowed him to find the right woman, despite the fact that her rejection hurt initially.

PIEPER ASKS FOR CLOSURE | It is interesting that the very words that Serena P. used to tell Matt why he was not her are very similar to what Matt said to Pieper when she asked about the breakup. Although Matt seemed very interested in Pieper for a while, he got very close to Michelle, Rachael, Brie and Serena P. and decided that Pieper did not inspire the same passion or investment. That is not what he said, but it is what he meant. If producers are paying attention, they should make Pieper the next bachelorette party. But hey, what do we know?
