Good deed done by Darius Rucker at IHOP in South Carolina

Apparently, South Carolina native and country musician Darius Rucker is a regular client at an IHOP in the Lowcountry region of South Carolina. Apparently, when he goes there, he can dine undisturbed.

After dining there on Sunday, he silently offered everyone in attendance a free meal and also left a large tip for the servers, said WMBF NBC News.

The winner of three Grammy Awards visited Mount Pleasant IHOP, where he is considered a regular customer by employees. After he finished eating, he approached Stephen Vitale, the general manager, and said he wanted to pay the bill for everyone who dined at the restaurant.

“It was a full restaurant,” said Vitale. “There were too many people.

“It caused a lot of emotion,” said Vitale. He said most customers did not recognize Rucker, who wore a mask when he was not eating.

“We know him because he comes frequently and we consider him a regular customer,” he said, adding that some people who recognized Rucker thanked him.

“It was a good day at IHOP,” said Vitale.
