Golden State Warriors: Jeremy Lin comes out in the G League Warriors victory

Kevin Durant and the Brooklyn Nets eliminated the Golden State Warriors on Saturday. While the Dubs were being defeated, their G League affiliate – the San Cruz Warriors – achieved a 124-116 victory over the Westchester Knicks.

Jeremy Lin, who signed with Santa Cruz last month, left with the win. The veteran managed nine of 12 field shots, hitting seven of his nine 3-point attempts and ended up with 29 points and nine coins in the Warriors’ victory. Jordan Poole also made a beautiful move, finishing with 26 points and four assists, while debutant Nico Mannion had 22.

Lin, 32, played his debut season at the Golden State. Lin averaged 2.6 points and hit a 38.9 percent field throw during the 2010-11 campaign. There were some delays before he signed with the Warriors last month.

He needed to get a letter of release from his team at the Chinese Basketball Association, which did not come before the deadline. The two parties managed to sort things out, which helped Lin get into the Florida bubble in the G League.

Lin played for eight different teams during his 10 NBA seasons, averaging 11.6 points and 4.3 assists. He last played for the Toronto Raptors during the 2018-19 championship season.
