Golden Globe winners 2021: the complete list, from The Crown to the Queen’s Gambit

The golden globes of 2021 stayed behind and saw the Chadwick Boseman achieves a posthumous victory for his role in Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom. Best TV series winner (drama) The crown he collected a pile of prizes, with Emma Corrin and Josh O’Connor first winning their Globes like Princess Diana and Prince Charles. The Queen’s Gambit she also won two well-deserved awards for best limited series and best actress in limited series by Anya Taylor-Joy.

I care a lot Rosamund Pike won the best actress (musical or comedy), and Jason Sudeikis, by Ted Lasso, won the best actor in a TV series (musical or comedy). Subsequent Borat Moviefilm beat Hamilton to take home the best film (musical or comedy). Chloé Zhao made history by becoming the first director of Asian descent to win a Golden Globe with Nomadland, who also won the award for best film (drama).

There were some technical difficulties, with Catherine O’Hara’s Schitt’s Creek experiencing background noise during his acceptance speech. Fortunately, Mark Ruffalo and John Boyega’s audio worked perfectly when they accepted acting awards for TV performances. The Chicago Trial 7 saw Aaron Sorkin win the best script.
