It was in October that we had our first glimpses of Giovanna, a brand new character who goes on the list for the next Guilty Gear Strive, but we haven’t seen much of her since.
The developers gave the community a new snippet of Giovanna on Sunday night, however, by posting the newcomer’s inactivity animation on Twitter.
The bodyguard of the President of the United States normally assumes a combat stance that sees her hunched with her hips towards the opposition while her ghostly dog hovers a little above, but leaves her alone long enough and she straightens up.
Giovanna stands and makes a few quick jumps to ensure that the blood continues to flow, and her faithful companion maintains a very stoic and intimidating stand-by pose while staring straight ahead. The included clip has no sound, so we’re not sure whether or not it loosens some kind of trademark phrase during the process.
Keeping up with Guilty Gear’s reputation for having beautiful figures with beautiful animations, Giovanna almost instantly captured the attention of the GG community. We saw a lot of intrigue and exaggeration in the market discussions on the internet, and many excited fans have already started fan art (this beautiful banner image is from Lv01KOKUEN)
