Gina Carano played Cara Dune in the first two seasons of the Mandalorian.

Gina Carano will no longer appear in The Mandalorian or future Star Wars projects, said Lucasfilm. He also condemned his recent comments on social media.

“Gina Carano is not currently employed by Lucasfilm and there are no plans for her in the future,” said a Lucasfilm spokesman in a statement. “However, your posts on social media denigrating people based on their cultural and religious identities are disgusting and unacceptable.”

On Wednesday, Carano shared a now deleted post on Instagram comparing being a Republican today to being a Jew during the Holocaust. The post was captured and shared on social networks, causing a strong reaction and the hashtag #FireGinaCarano became a trend.

Carano, who played Cara Dune for two seasons of The Mandalorian, has been criticized before for his political comments on social media. At the end of last year, the actress use of mock mask in the middle of the pandemic, electoral fraud suggested occurred during the 2020 presidential elections, liked posts disparaging the Black Lives Matter movement and ridiculed the use of pronouns in the biographies of social networks.

Fans speculated that Cara Dune would appear in the next Star Wars: Rangers of the New Republic series, although this has not been confirmed.
