Recently, there has been some controversy in the Star Wars community about some comments made by Pablo Hidalgo of Lucasfilm to a fan on Twitter. Gina Carano – who handled her fair share of controversy over her own social media posts – spoke about the situation surrounding Hidalgo’s comments, and her response was shared on Twitter.

To put it in context, Pablo Hidalgo, who is Lucasfilm’s creative executive, tweeted (and then deleted) a post in which he quoted a Star Wars fan and YouTuber, Star Wars Theory. Hidalgo responded as a reaction to the emotions that the fan expressed during a live party of The Mandalorian End of the 2nd season.
Although he changed his name on Twitter, his profile picture, and made his account private, before doing so, Hidalgo made the controversial Tweet his Twitter profile banner, generating more outrage among fans. Fans began to ask Hidalgo to issue an apology and for changes to be made at Lucasfilm.
Pablo joins the conversation to laugh. Deletes the tweet. Then, put one of them as your header. How is that acceptable to someone so important at Lucasfilm? Are you telling people that it is not right to have emotions about the work your company does and make fun of them for crying? It is not alright. pic.twitter.com/aIfU2SigIy
