Gina Carano, who was fired from Disney + “The Mandalorian”, spoke in a new interview about her experience working for Lucasfilm.
She also spoke about the controversial post that led to the resignation of the “Star Wars” series and drew attention to the double political standard that she feels exists at the company, which is owned by Disney.
The last straw for Lucasfilm and Disney came when Carano drew criticism for a post on social media in which he compared today’s political divide to events in Nazi Germany and conservatives to the Jewish people. She had previously reacted to other comments about the coronavirus, the use of gender pronouns and electoral fraud.
The former MMA fighter said on “The Ben Shapiro Show” that her intention behind the most recent photo (which was deleted) was to “bring people together” and emphasize how “people separate”.

Carano pointed out that she is not the only cast member to post polarizing content. In 2018, the leader of “The Mandalorian”, Pedro Pascal, compared undocumented children kept in cages on the border with Jews in concentration camps. He was not fired.
“I love Pedro. I love him. I know he said and did some things that hurt. But we had an agreement after we realized that we were a little bit different politically. We had an agreement that, first of all, you are a human And you are my friend first, “she explained.

Carano described how both Democrats and Republicans are being called because they are “in love” with their respective beliefs.
Lucasfilm said that Carano is no longer on the cast of “The Mandalorian” after many online resigned because of a social media post that compared the experience of Jews during the Holocaust to the political climate in the United States.

I saw the bullying that happens, and when that started, they point their guns at you, and you know it’s just a matter of time. I’ve seen it happen with so many people and I thought to myself, ‘you’re coming to me, I know you are.’ They are making it very obvious through their employees coming after me, and then I thought, ‘I’m going to swing down and I’m going to stay true to myself.’

Carano revealed that he accidentally received an email that indicated that Disney was following the hashtag #FireGinaCarano on social media, but that she also had some support at the company.
“I’m not the only one who has ever been bullied by this company, and I know that deeply. I could share a story that would change things in the media, but I can’t, because that would betray a friend. Everyone is afraid of losing their job” she joked.
