PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Giant Eagle and Pittsburgh Steelers are partnering to host a COVID-19 vaccination clinic in Heinz Field.
As of Friday, Giant Eagle says that most appointments will be made available through its online scheduling tool. Shortly after 11:30 am on Friday, Giant Eagle said all appointments available online were booked.

For people who do not have access to the Internet, a limited number of appointments can be booked by calling 1-877-288-2070 starting Monday at noon. But Giant Eagle says this is not encouraged because the high volume of calls and limited availability can create long waiting times.

Also distributing the Pfizer vaccine, the Allegheny County Health Department has a link to register for a clinic in Castle Shannon. The online registration starts at 9 am through Allegheny Alerts and will be posted shortly thereafter on the ACHD vaccine page.
Patients can also call using 2-1-1 for the first dose. All appointments are scheduled for the VFD Banquet Hall at Shannon Castle on Library Road. The county says anyone who arrives at the scene without an appointment, or is not 65 or older, will be refused.
Second doses of the Moderna vaccine are also scheduled. This will happen at the county Monroeville clinic.
