Gia Giudice broke the silence about Jackie Goldschneider’s comments about her in Wednesday night’s episode of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey”.
Goldschneider, 44, tried to explain to Teresa Giudice that Giudice by claiming that Goldschneider’s husband, Evan, was cheating on her, was analogous to Goldschneider by spreading the rumor that Giudice’s daughter, Gia “smells cocaine in the bathroom at parties”.
Gia, 20, tweeted on Friday, “To say it was an analogy is excusable, it is not. My character is now being questioned. My name was used to make it clear. No one should be used that way, I am suffering the consequences for such a bizarre and false statement. As long as your marriage is happy and intact. “
James J. Leonard Jr., the Giudice family lawyer, added: “Jackie is a very smart woman, but what she did was incredibly stupid. Analogy or not, you are referring to a young woman and putting her name in a sentence that includes the mention of drugs on national television, knowing that it is a false statement. My understanding is that Jackie and Gia communicated this week and Jackie has apologized and I believe their apologies were sincere. Gia is an incredible young woman and her parents are very proud of her. This should never have happened. “
Goldschneider accessed Twitter on Thursday to defend his use of the analogy, saying: “My analogy with Gia was simply an analogy – there was no truth to that, of course. The rest of the cast understood this, which you will see in the coming weeks. The behavior at my husband’s birthday party is truly regrettable – destroying a marriage and a family is not entertainment. “
Teresa, 48, said nothing on her own about the situation, but did go over the statements of one of your representatives beating Goldschneider.
One of Teresa’s friends, former co-star Dina Manzo, sent her support to the Giudices and said that Gia’s name should not have been mentioned during the explosive meeting of Goldschneider and Teresa.
