The Ghost Recon franchise has a history of marking the protagonists of other Ubisoft titles, such as the ability of players to play as an Assassin with a Credo in Wildlands. Now, he’s doing it again by adding Rainbow Six Siege operators for Ghost Recon breakpoint.
On January 19, Ubisoft Paris is releasing a patch for Title Update 3.10 for Breakpoint, which will be free for all players. Along with Title Update 3.10 is Operation Amber Sky, an event that starts on January 21st.
Breakpoint it takes place on a fictional South Pacific island called Auroa. Players take on the role of Ghosts, government agents who are sent to Auroa to stop Cole Walker. Cole Walker, played by The punisherJon Bernthal is a traitor in command of a force known as Wolves. The island is also occupied by a PMC called Sentinel. Breakpoint leaves players loose in the open world of Auroa, where they can collect information, engage in confrontations and complete missions.
There are 9 free missions in the latest update, where Sentinel is producing a toxic gas called Amber Ruin. This means that players will have to invade highly protected locations and stop the production of gas, while finding an antidote. Fortunately, Rainbow Six Siege is there to help. Players who complete the missions will unlock “eleven exclusive rewards, including brand new weapons and full Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege skins.
Completing the first mission of the event unlocks operators Ash, Finka and Thacher. The player can exchange his normal Ghost teammates for some Rainbow Six friends. Each operator’s unique weapons and capabilities come from their Siege representation, which means that they play a little differently.
There will also be “more than 120 new customization items”, which include skins for operators for those who like to dress.
Breakpoint will be available during a free weekend, which runs from January 21st to 24th. Free players will have full access to the base game, including the Amber Sky event. Progress will be transferred from the free trial to the purchased game, if you enjoy the time in Auroa. The game is also on sale, with up to 85% in standard and gold editions. The year 1 content pass will also have a 70% discount.
