Get ready for the Jeep Wagoneer to enter the SEMA Show

Stellantis head of design Ralph Gilles says the new Wagoneer is not just a sophisticated truck, it is a masterpiece of our collective love for the automobile. And, he says, he can do “Wagoneer things” that I’m interpreting as epic family trips. Above and beyond the total 75 inches of screen, the 23 speakers in the McIntosh audio system and the standard 5.7L Hemi V8 engine accompanied by a moderate hybrid system, the Wagoneer is also expected to generate a great deal of spare parts.

The huge show from the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) is back in Las Vegas on Tuesday, November 2nd, and ends on Friday, November 5th; Jeep CEO Christian Meunier said Muscle Cars and Trucks to “get ready” to see Wagoneer there.

At the SEMA fair, exhibitors go out of their way to show special pieces and accessories. Jeep is no stranger to spare parts, with an almost limitless palette of interesting ideas for making old Jeeps new again or new Jeeps radically different than anything else on the road.

“I think people are going to go crazy with this, and we want them to go crazy. This is part of the culture. We are talking and debating whether some people in the aftermarket come early to be ready to start working on their programs, ”said Meunier on MC&T interview.

It looks like Stellantis will work faster than Santa’s elves to get a stable of new Mopar accessories ready for Wagoneer, and Muscle Cars and Trucks
expects the more sophisticated American Expedition Vehicles to also show off some Wagoneers ready to overflow. Although the new Wagoneer looks very different from the Wagoneer you may remember from decades ago, Jeep wants it to maintain that “you can go anywhere” attitude.

“At Wagoneer, maybe a little less at Grand Wagoneer, we will see overlanders, we will see all kinds of lifting kits and tires and other things outdoors,” said Meunier MC&T. “We will see a lot of fun things at Wagoneer and we want to encourage that.”

Jeep brand chief Jim Morrison played the fun part of Wagoneer’s appeal in a call to me immediately after the official launch. And, he said, not measuring a word in Morrison’s typical style, “This is going to bring a **.”
