Google has an attractive offer that adds six months of Netflix with its latest Chromecast.

Discussing the benefits of getting the new Chromecast with Google TV compared to a Roku, Apple TV or Amazon Fire TV? Google has brought back a package that hopes to influence you towards your new streamer.
Appearing for the first time last year, the Google Store is again offering a package of its new six-month Chromecast from the standard Netflix plan for $ 90. The Google streamer costs $ 50 alone, while the standard Netflix plan, which allows HD streaming on up to two screens at the same time, costs $ 14 a month. Over the course of six months, a Netflix subscription alone would cost about $ 84, so the savings reach $ 44 – basically the same as buying the new Chromecast for $ 6.
Those who already own Netflix – whether the Standard plan or the cheaper Basic or Premium options on Netflix – will have the standard six-month amount credited to their account.
While the Google Store page lists the total value of $ 77.94, Google has confirmed to CNET that it will be adjusted to reflect the recent Netflix price hike, which makes the total value of Netflix’s six-month subscription $ 83.94.
If you decide to return your Chromecast after activating the Netflix promotion, you will only be refunded $ 50, which is not too bad considering that you would also have received six months of Netflix Standard for $ 40 (tax excl.).
The offer, which first appeared at launch and has since gone in and out of stock, is limited to “three per customer / Google Account”. You need to set up Chromecast to redeem the offer.
Google’s new Chromecast with Google TV is an impressive streamer, thanks to its updated software, convenient remote control and seamless integration with Google Assistant and YouTube TV. It also has access to almost every major application, including Netflix, HBO Max, Disney Plus, Hulu and Amazon Prime Video (with the notable exception of Apple TV Plus)
All three colors of the new Chromecast are available for purchase, with the promotion running until December 31, 2021 or “while supplies last”.
