Gerry Marsden, the vocalist and namesake of the British 1960s rock group Gerry and the Pacemakers has died.

Gerry leaves his wife, Pauline Marsden, with whom he was married for 55 years, and two daughters, Yvette and Victoria.
Gerry was 78 years old.
