The University of Georgia scored 14 unanswered points in the fourth period, including a 53-yard field goal that won Jack Podlesny’s game to beat the University of Cincinnati 24-21 in the Peach Bowl, ending Bearcats’ hopes of a perfect season .
The Bulldogs kicked the field goal to end an eight-play, 44-yard campaign that began with five consecutive submissions by quarterback JT Daniels. He launched a 4-yard pass to John FitzPatrick to lead Georgia to the Cincinnati 36-yard line before launching two incomplete passes, which were followed by a field goal.

The field goal would put the Bulldogs at 22-21 with 3 seconds to go. Georgia secured security in Cincinnati to add two more points to its final score.
Daniels finished 26 of 38 with 392 yards, a touchdown pass and an interception. George Pickens had the only touchdown catch. He ended with seven receptions for 135 yards.
Podlesny hit two field goals in the fourth period and Zamir White ran for a 9-yard touchdown to help with the return.
Cincinnati ends its season with a defeat. The Bearcats were winning 21-10 at the end of the third quarter.
MISSISSIPPI STATE, TULSA END ARMED FORCES BOWL WITH MAJOR BRAWL
Desmond Ridder made it 24 to 37 with 206 yards and two touchdown passes for the Bearcats. Jerome Ford ran for 97 yards and a touchdown to lead all the ball carriers. Josh Whyle and Alec Pierce had a touchdown reception.
For Podlesny, it is the longest field goal of his university career. The second year had 76.9% in the attempts to throw the field, with its long previous 51 yards.
