Georgia Adds Former South Carolina Coach Will Muschamp as Defensive Analyst

Former South Carolina football coach Will Muschamp has accepted the position of analyst on the Kirby Smart team in Georgia. Smart says Muschamp, also a former Florida coach, will focus on defense. He played in Georgia as a defender from 1991-94 and was a defensive coordinator in Auburn, Louisiana State and Texas. Smart says it is “very valuable” to have Muschamp’s experience as a head coach at two SEC schools. Muschamp was fired by South Carolina in the middle of the 2020 season. The Gamecocks were 2-5 when the shot was announced. He went from 28-30 in five seasons. He was 28-21 years old in Florida from 2011-14.
