The Georgia Department of Public Health reported a slight decline in COVID-19 cases on Saturday, but overall it remained stable. The state had 1,280 new cases for 827,397 and reported 68 deaths for 15,594.
Richmond County had 20 cases for 10,590 and Columbia County reported 13 for 10,590. Burke County had six out of 1,685, while McDuffie and Jefferson counties reported one out of 1,585 and 1,545 each, respectively. Glascock County dropped a case for 139.
Three people died in Richmond County, bringing the death toll to 362. Two deaths were reported in Columbia County to increase their number to 154. One person died in Burke County, his 32 victims. One death in Aiken County has been moved elsewhere and the death toll in the area is 952.
Doctors Hospital of Augusta reported a case for 748 and an inpatient for 12, said spokesman Kaden Jacobs.
South Carolina recorded 876 new cases for 449,151 and 14 deaths for 7,711 according to the Department of Health and Environmental Control. Aiken County had 16 cases for 12,259 and 171 deaths. Edgefield County reported seven cases to 2,420 and remained with 26 deaths.
