Georgetown shooting an extradited suspect back in South Carolina to face murder charges | Georgetown Times

GEORGETOWN – A man from Georgetown was extradited back to South Carolina on December 10 and is currently awaiting a bail hearing at Georgetown County Detention Center.

David Denon Tyrone Green, 20, faces charges of murder and attempted armed robbery in connection with the October death of Andrews’ Terrence Pinckney, 28.

On October 28, authorities responded to a shootout at Bethel’s apartments on Gilbert Street. A male victim was found with several gunshot wounds, later identified as Pinckney by coroner Kenny Johnson.

On November 6, Georgetown police arrested Zavion Tahiem Woodward of Georgetown, 18, and charged him with two counts of an accomplice prior to the crime. According to prison records, he also faces charges of murder and attempted armed robbery.

After an investigation, Georgetown police obtained arrest warrants for 18-year-old Jerry Lee Williams Jr., who surrendered on November 7 and was charged with two counts of an accomplice prior to the crime.

He is currently out of prison on $ 30,000 bail.

Police say the information they received during the investigation led them to Green, who fled the state to avoid prosecution.

His name was registered with the National Crime Information Center as desired and was located outside Augusta, Georgia, by the US Marshal’s Service and taken into custody, according to the police.

Police said a young suspect was identified and charged in this case.

“These senseless acts of violence will not be tolerated in our community and we will exhaust all resources to bring them to justice,” said Georgetown Chief of Police Kelvin Waites.
