George Washington basketball game postponed after Capitol chaos

Chaos at the United States Capitol on Wednesday afternoon has spread to the world of sports.

George Washington’s men’s basketball game against the University of Massachusetts, scheduled for 6 pm ET on Wednesday in Washington DC, has been postponed, several sources told Yahoo Sports.

A source told Yahoo Sports that the reason the game was suspended was the 6 pm curfew announced by Mayor Muriel Bowser.

The curfew came on the heels of President Donald Trump supporters who invaded the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday afternoon.

There was no immediate word on whether or when the game between George Washington (3-7) and UMass (2-3) would be rescheduled.
