Former President George W. Bush and Former First Lady Laura Bush plan to appear for President-elect Joe Biden

Freddy Ford, the Bushes spokesman, tweeted that the pair “hopes to return to the Capitol for President Biden and Vice President Harris’ oath.”

The couple has attended both the inauguration of former President Obama in 2009 and 2013 and that of Trump in 2017.
Former 96-year-old Carter will not attend Biden’s inauguration.
It is not yet clear whether Trump will attend the January 20 event. He protested the November elections, raising allegations contested by evidence that voter fraud and widespread irregularities cost him re-election.
The Bushes have already congratulated Biden on the victory.
