Geoffrey Scott, ‘Dynasty’ and ‘Hulk’ actor, dead at 79

Geoffrey Scott, an actor known for his roles in “Dynasty” and “Hulk” in 2003, died at age 79.

The star’s wife, Cheri, confirmed his passing to Fox News on Tuesday.

Scott died on February 23 in Broomfield, Colorado, after fighting Parkinson’s disease.

“He loved to ski and that’s why he spent his last years in Colorado,” said Cheri. “His career has allowed him to play many sports outdoors. This is what he loved.”

She added: “He was an incredible athlete.”

Athletics was adequate, as Scott was known for playing Mark Jennings, a professional tennis player, in IMDb’s 1982-1984 “Dynasty”.

Perhaps his best-known role was that of president in Ang Lee’s “Hulk”, which was also his final role.

His first role in Hollywood was a small role in “General Hospital” before going on to appear on several high-profile television programs.

Scott appeared in episodes of “Dark Shadows”, “Dallas”, “Baywatch”, “The Love Boat”, “Married … with Children” and more.

On the cinema side, he appeared in several TV films throughout his career and in 1986 he appeared in the film “The Morning After”, alongside Jane Fonda and Jeff Bridges.

He was also active in commercials and recorded more than 100, appearing in advertisements for products like Marlboro cigarettes and Maxwell House coffee, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Scott was born in Los Angeles in 1942. His father was a Lockheed businessman, producing airplanes, while his mother was a housewife, according to the outlet. He grew up near Clark Gable and used to jump in the family pool uninvited.

He leaves Cheri and her 22-year-old twins, Christopher and Matthew.
