Genshin Impact players can now participate in the free Primogem draw

Genshin Impact players have until New Year’s Eve to enter a raffle sponsored by miHoYo that promises hundreds of free Primogems for travelers.

Despite a tumultuous 2020, Impact Genshin managed to make waves with its release as a free-to-play RPG. Many fans liked the game’s open-world mechanics and anime-inspired design elements, and the title won some substantial awards and nominations this year.

More recently, it seems that miHoYo broke a YouTube milestone with the official Impact Genshin channel that attracted more than one million subscribers. In celebration of this milestone, and a new global forum site, miHoYo announced a special event with the aim of offering a potential bonus to a large number of players.

This special event organized by Paimon seems to be accessible only through the miHoYo fan forums, so if the players haven’t been there yet, it might be time to make an account. Forums are most popular with Chinese-speaking players and are generally used to communicate news and tips about the game. So far, there has been no substantial event exclusive to the forum.

Now that the Impact Genshin Fan Forum has a new multilingual version, Impact Genshin Paimon mascot invites travelers to a big draw. The draw is straightforward, with each player who signs up winning a chance of 50 Primogems. It is not a very large amount, but the competition is easy to register and costs nothing. Players can go to the Forum and leave a comment containing their platform and user ID.

There will be 1,000 participants chosen at random to receive the free Primogems, but if more than 100,000 participants enter the draw, a total of 10,000 winners will be selected. This standard will continue for every 100,000 participants (therefore, 20,000 winners will be selected as soon as 200,000 people register, for example). Only one entry is allowed per UID, and players must have their in-game accounts linked to their miHoYo accounts.

The total number of participants will be considered the sum of all participants in each language section of the Forums, so, hopefully, players can at least break the first milestone of participation. Although this 50 Primogems prize alone is not stellar, players currently have several other paths to free Primogems, including promotional codes. Combined, it’s more than possible to get a handful of free character summons. Players can also check out the new Fan Forums ‘Battle Chronicle’ feature, which provides detailed game statistics.

Impact Genshin is now available on the App Store, Google Play, PC and PS4, and is currently in development for PS5 and Switch.
