Genshin Impact is updating its original resin system

Impact Genshin The developer miHoYo shared a developer discussion today that covers a variety of topics, but most notably, includes some details about an update to the title’s Original Resin system. In short, starting with version 1.3, the amount of original resin that players have access to should increase dramatically thanks to two specific changes. It is not a total solution at all, but it is something.

If you are unfamiliar in any way, the original resin system is basically the primary time-limited resource Impact Genshin. It updates with time, but there is a maximum amount that any player can handle at once and, historically, most, if not all end of game content, such as ley outcrops, domains and various events, all consumed large amounts of it. As you can imagine, this has been a point of frustration for many. But, with the new update, basically, only the outcrops and domains of Ley Line will still cost the original resin in the future.

“All events in version 1.3 that do not require the challenge of outcrops or Ley Line domains will not consume the original resin,” says the developer’s response in part. “The vast majority of large-scale events in future versions will also not consume Original Resin.”

“Our BPs will be adjusted from version 1.3 onwards to have additional rewards for fragile resin,” continues the response. Fragile Resin is essentially a way to restore the Original Resin. “Sojourner’s Battle Pass and Gnostic Anthem will obtain Fragile Resin × 1 for 10 levels, starting from Level 5, replacing the Mystic Enhancement Ore that was originally there. This will not change the total amount of Mystic Enhancement Ore obtained through These instead, the enhancement ores will be distributed among other levels. “

Impact Genshin is currently available for free to play for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, PC and mobile devices. The 1.2 update “The Chalk Prince and the Dragon” recently launched and added a whole new area, characters, events and more. The video game is also set to eventually be released for the Nintendo Switch. You can check out all of our previous coverage of the popular free-to-play title here.
