Genshin Impact Exploit

MiHoYo free-to-play title players, Impact Genshin, have discovered an exploit that could be an unintended benefit to the recently introduced Hypostatic Symphony event, thanks to the design of the meetings with the boss. [Thanks, GameRant!]

In the new event, players face variations of the game’s Hypostasis enemy. One such variation is the Violet Lightning Concert, which neutralizes electrical damage with AOE electrical damage and can be tackled both in single player and cooperative mode. At the start of the fight, players’ characters automatically have their health bars and Elemental Explosion meters filled to the maximum. This bonus also applies to other Hypostatic Symphony challenges. Although this effect can help players against the monsters of the event, there is nothing to stop them from simply leaving the encounter through the pause menu.

With a quick and easy method of reloading these resources, players should be able to perform other tasks in the game more efficiently. It is unclear whether the developers will do anything to mitigate these exploitation benefits outside of the event’s specific struggles, but even if they don’t, the Hypostatic Symphony event will still end on January 31, 2021.

The rewards for the ongoing Hypostatic Symphony include a Hypostasis and Primogems name card.

Impact Genshin is available for PlayStation 4, PC, Stadia and mobile devices. A version for the Nintendo Switch is currently in development. A recent game update added a new story quest alongside a new banner featuring Ganyu and Xiangling.
