Update 1.4 for Genshin Impact is adding a new simulated dating activity in the game called Hangout Events, which will initially feature four characters.
Impact GenshinThe next update from 1.4 is adding a dating simulator to the game as part of the Patch’s Windblume Festival event. Developer MiHoYo recently released the update 1.4 trailer, called “Invitation of Windblume”, which finally confirmed the addition of Rosaria, a new 4-star Cryo character with spears, to the game’s list. The trailer also showed the first major event in the update, called the Windblume Festival, which will feature a series of activities and mini-games for players to try out.
In addition to the introduction of Rosaria and the launch of the Windblume Festival, Genshin impact Update 1.4 is also bringing Venti back as the event’s 5-star main character, giving players who weren’t able to pull it off when the game launched in September another chance to add Archon Anemo to their list. MiHoYo also previously announced that changes to the resin system, as well as to the adventure rating and world-class systems, would be implemented in update 1.4 as well.

MiHoYo unveiled the new dating simulation activity during the live broadcast of the update 1.4 update, where details about the new patch activities were announced. During the Windblume Festival, which begins when Update 1.4 is released on March 17, 2021, players will be able to spend time with Barbara, Noelle, Bennett and Chongyun in what the game calls Hangout Events. Each of the characters presented at the event has its own series of events and interactions, as well as several endings, depending on the dialogue options the player makes. Unlocking each of the real endings will reward players with a Hangout Memory illustration and players who complete multiple endings will receive even more rewards.
Genshin impact However, the new Hangout Events will not be limited to the Windblume Festival, as MiHoYo plans to introduce more characters for the activity in future game updates. The release of update 1.4 and the Windblume Festival will also introduce several other events to the game, although some of them are only available during the festival, as well as the Lantern Rite Festival of update 1.3. The three main mini-games that players will be able to experience during the Windblume Festival are Bullseye Balloons, Floral Freefall and Ballads of Breeze. Each minigame will feature four levels of difficulty, with each rewarding a number of Holiday Tickets that players can exchange for materials to increase the level of talent and two new devices.
While adding Hangout events gives players something more to do in Impact Genshin, your implementation can end up being less than fun. Hopefully, MiHoYo is able to perform the new activity well, especially considering that the studio is planning to add more characters to the Hangout events in the future.
