Gayle King’s daughter Kirby Bumpus tied the knot.
The 32-year-old married Virgil Miller at the home of King’s best friend, Oprah Winfrey, Calif., Revealed the TV presenter on “CBS This Morning” on Monday.
King, 66, explained that she and her ex-husband, William Bumpus, were not allowed in the Montecito mansion because of COVID-19 restrictions.
“[It’s] It is difficult to see your daughter getting married and not being able to hug, ”she said, referring to the rules of social distance.
King’s son, William Bumpus Jr., made it official.
Winfrey and his partner, Stedman Graham, were also present for the big day.
She added that she helped her daughter buy a wedding dress, but because of the virus it was done remotely.
Kirby and Miller became engaged in February 2019.
At the time, Bumpus shared a photo of his big diamond ring in the photo and wrote: “Here. WE. Go!”
According to his LinkedIn profile, Kirby works as head of social impact and inclusion for Sweetgreen.
