A registered Republican, the “Friends in Low Places” singer chose an outfit that reflected his Oklahoma roots: black blazer and shirt, dark jeans, cowboy boots and a cowboy hat. He inadvertently removed the latter for his performance, sparking speculation that he may have received hair plugs before the big day.
“This is a great day at our home,” said Brooks when announcing his participation in Biden’s tenure. “In our home, this is not a political statement; this is a declaration of unity. “
Gaga, 34, opted for a decidedly more exaggerated look to sing the National Anthem: a custom navy blue jacket, wide red skirt and giant gold dove brooch from Schiaparelli Haute Couture, which quickly attracted comparisons to “Hunger Games” on social media .
