Brooks announced on Wednesday that the couple is quarantined at home in Tennessee after a member of his team tested positive for the virus.
“The Queen and I have tested twice already,” said Brooks. “Officially, she has been diagnosed as ‘coming out of the tunnel’ now, for which I am extremely grateful. Anyone who knows me knows that my world begins and ends with Miss Yearwood, so she and I will go through this together.”
Brooks had high hopes that Yearwood would recover, calling her “a fighter” and saying “she’s doing everything right, so I know we’ll be out on the other side of this thing together”.
Brooks, who stepped up for President Joe Biden last month, added that Yearwood is in the best care near where they live.
“We are very lucky that she is currently under the greatest care in the best city to treat and heal singers.”
