Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood announce results of coronvairus test

Country legends Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood shared a health update after being tested for coronavirus.

In a press release, a Brooks representative, 59, confirmed that the test was negative, while Yearwood, 56, was positive.

According to the statement, the pair was already quarantined “at home after a recent positive Covid test by a member of their team”.

“The Queen and I have tested twice already,” said Brooks. “Officially, she was diagnosed as ‘coming out of the tunnel’ now, for which I am extremely grateful.”

The test delay – which occurred about a week after they were exposed – was due to “severe winter weather in Tennessee”.

“Anyone who knows me knows that my world starts and ends with Miss Yearwood, so she and I will face it together,” said the star, adding that she would not be participating in her Inside Studio G series on Facebook for a while.

“And who knows [Yearwood] knows that she’s a fighter and she’s doing everything right, so I know we’re going to get out on the other side of this thing together, “said Brooks.

Yearwood is “handling the symptoms,” the statement said, but “it is fine.”

“She is difficult. She is stronger than I am,” Garth assured fans, welcoming prayers and positive thoughts.

He concluded: “Living with her, I sometimes take for granted that she is one of the best voices in all of music, so the possible long-term effects on her concern me as her husband and as a fan. We are very lucky that she is currently under the utmost care in the best city to treat and heal singers. “
