Gangnam Style dance and emote finally available in Fortnite

After some new leaks from trusted sources and a provocation from the official Korean Fortnite Twitter account, a Gangnam Style emote is officially available in the popular Battle Royale game almost 8 years after the original video clip was uploaded to YouTube.

Popular dances and music video crossovers are nothing new for Fortnite. Both Doja Cat So say and Megan Thee Stallion Wild, for example, are emotes that enter and leave the game store from time to time.

Now, another incredibly famous song is coming into the game as a dance / emote – but this one seems to be about eight years behind.

After a series of leaks from notable sources like ShiinaBR and HYPEX and an official taunt from the Korean Fortnite account, the Gangnam Style dance emote is finally available for users to purchase from the Item Shop.

Fortunately, there are no major obstacles that players have to jump to get it: simply go to the Item Shop and buy for 500 V-Bucks. All things considered, it is not a bad price, especially for dance and music as iconic as this one.

Although the original taunt from the Korean Fortnite Twitter page did not have a release date associated with it, it was practically a foregone conclusion that it would be available in the Item Store soon, as several leaks found evidence of it within hours before entering up in the air.

As for the emote itself, it is clearly based on the iconic dance that the artist PSY performs in the now infamous music video, which has garnered almost 4 billion views and currently stands out as one of the most viewed YouTube videos of all Time.

The music, of course, also plays in the background, completing the iconic dance – although it would have been shocking if it didn’t have the original music to accompany it.

At the end of the day, this is a hilarious addition to the game – and although Gangnam Style is past the spotlight, it’s still a welcome addition. We hope you will stay at the item store for at least a few days.
