GamersNexus has been the basis of our RSS feeds for over a decade. The site quickly became a must-read for anyone looking to build a PC, especially a games PRAÇA. And in addition to running this company, editor-in-chief Steve Burke has most recently become a staple of our weekly showing, too, while directing the equally popular GamersNexus YouTube channel.

It doesn’t take long to realize that GamersNexus clearly shares a lot of DNA with Orbital HQ. In each video, Burke and his team inform and entertain, sparing no technical jargon or opportunities to create useful Reddit memes. So far, GamersNexus videos have focused on everything from putting Walmart PCs at genuine technical paces to emptying (literally, emptying) a tube of thermal paste on a bad CPU. You will learn useful information every time, even if it’s new parts not to covet. “I think we made it very clear in the video, but if someone is trying to build a PC and asks themselves, ‘Hmm, how do I apply thermal grease?” they type ‘thermal paste’, click on this video and watch for five seconds and say, ‘Ah, I see. I don’t need the rest of this tutorial, “Burke told Ars in our recent Personal History interview.” Otherwise, they would have a very messy CPU socket, I think. “(Burke, by the way, suggests the best way to actually apply the thermal paste is to just do a quick X.” This allows me to get CPUs up to 5 GhZ, 6 GhZ, no problem. “)

In our 25-minute chat above, Burke is generous with liquid nitrogen, shares tips for making successful videos and answers troubleshooting questions on everything from all the black wiring to dealing with dead insects on the power supply. Come to the discussion of CPU fans, stay to learn why component jargon is the only true universal language.
