Gamecocks take down slow start to roll Alabama, improve to 9-0 SEC | South Carolina

COLOMBIA – Dawn Staley has said it several times. This year’s South Carolina women’s basketball team is not last year’s.

Gamecocks are not so fluid. They don’t cut opponents like that did. They still need to click.

But while they are still winning, as they did 87-63 over Alabama on Sunday to remain at the top of the SEC ranking, they can work the rest.

USC (14-1, 9-0 SEC) spilled a slow start and deficit in the interval to roll the Crimson Tide to the 18thº direct time, and 29º direct time over SEC competition. The Gamecocks had to give up, after Alabama (12-4, 5-4) cut their inner defense and the USC had trouble finishing on the edge.

However, Zia Cooke overcame his own slow start (two fouls in the first five minutes) to score the best of the game with 21 points, Aliyah Boston had 13 rebounds, three blocks and six assists to make up for his second consecutive game by scoring less than 10 points and The tiny shipowner Destanni Henderson received six scholarships to go with her 14 points and seven assists.
