South Carolina will once again try to cause a turnaround, as sports betting lists Gamecocks as 7.5 point losers. Will Muschamp and company expect results similar to the last time they played at Williams-Brice Stadium, when they defeated No. 15 Auburn 30-22.

It will be interesting to see who will line up as a South Carolina defender as there has been talk of getting more action for reserves Ryan Hilinski and Luke Doty throughout the goodbye week. Transfer Collin Hill started each of the first five games, but had his worst performance of the year last week against LSU.

The Aggies will enter the game 4-1, after a 42-31 defeat by Arkansas, the division’s opponent. Jimbo Fisher’s group brings the fifth attack in the league to Columbia, averaging over 425 yards per competition.

They have already defeated players like Florida, Mississippi and Vanderbilt, to go along with winning the Razorbacks. The only flaw so far has been a 52-24 loss to Alabama in the second week.

Gamecocks have yet to beat Aggies since the former Big XII affiliate joined the SEC in 2014. Last year’s game was close to halftime, before Texas A&M eroded Carolina’s defense with a powerful attack. fast in the second half, rolling to a 30-6 loss.

The last time the game was played in Columbia, Gamecocks struggled against a 16-0 deficit at first, but ended up dropping 26-23.

South Carolina is 3-2 against the spread so far this season, covering fights against Florida, Vanderbilt and Auburn. We’ll see if they can improve to 4-2 this weekend, while trying to get back to 0.500 this year.
