Gamecocks offer quarterback in 2023 on instate

The South Carolina Gamecocks offered another quarterback prospect in 2023 on Monday.

Carson Black, who attends Nation Ford High School in Fort Mill, now has offers from South Carolina and Virginia Tech. The 6-foot-3, 190-pound prospect threw 1,704 yards with 21 touchdowns and six interceptions over five games as a second year. He completed 131 of 199 passes during his first season at Nation Ford.

The current South Carolina team also offered Dylan Lonergan, a four star hotel from Snellville, Georgia, which was originally offered by the previous technical team. Former South Carolina coaches also offered Tad Hudson (Cornelius, NC) and Raheim Jeter (Spartanburg, SC).

As a freshman, Black studied at Sun Valley High School in Monroe, NC

Black is the second defender who played last season at Fort Mill to get an offer from South Carolina. Jadyn Davis, a freshman at Catawba Ridge High School, received an offer from the offensive coordinator Marcus Satterfield.
