Gamecocks jump in NET Rankings after quad win

South Carolina won its first win on the road and in the first quadrant a win of the season on Wednesday night, a 72-66 victory for Florida’s number 22.

The Gamecocks (5-6, 3-4), who had lost four of their five games when they landed in Gainesville, had a NET rating of 104. When they woke up in Columbia on Thursday morning, they had a NET of 92 of the year was against the Gators team that was in 20th (now with 27) on NET.

Frank Martin’s team has a lot of work to do over the next six weeks, but achieving victory on the signature road will go a long way if the curriculum continues to improve as the league schedule progresses.
