South Carolina coach Shane Beamer signed his 2022 first class appointment on Tuesday after three safety stars Anthony Rose (Hallandale, Fla./Hallandale). Classified as the country’s No. 24 security by 247Sports Composite, Rose has committed to Gamecocks in relation to other Penn State and Arizona finalists.
On Monday, Tony Morrell of TheBigSpur wrote “the 6 foot-4, 180 pound has been a priority in the safety position for the defensive coach Torrian Gray since he arrived in Columbia and should fit well into the scheme that South Carolina will use with the new team.
“He has prototypical height and good speed and anticipation skills, and he also shows the physical side you need to be successful in SEC security.”

Rose started her high school career in the Everglades (Florida) before spending her sophomore year in Inlet Grove, Riviera Beach (Florida). He ended up being transferred to Carol City in Miami (Florida), where he received several passes as a junior.
“(Coach Gray) calls me every day and text me every day saying he loves my movie,” Rose told Andrew Ivins of 247Sports earlier this week. This is the school that is recruiting me the hardest of them all. “
Rose was recognized as the best performer last month by 247Sports at the Battle Sports 7-on-7 tournament outside Miami.
Gamecocks had three projections on the 247Sports Crystal Ball for Rose. The level of confidence was high, 8 out of 10 for safety, which holds a rating of 0.8789 in the 247Sports Composite, making him the No. 405 player in the country.
