Gamecock’s female basketball team tumbles from 1st place after loss to NC State | South Carolina

COLUMBIA – As expected, South Carolina’s first loss in more than a calendar year cost the top of the AP Women’s 25 best.

Gamecocks tumbled from first to fifth on Monday in the new poll after last week’s 54-46 loss to NC State. Wolfpack vaulted from eighth to fourth.

USC (4-1) is suspended for exams this week after hitting then-No. 23 Iowa State on Sunday.
