South Carolina football will not be favored at the end of the season.
South Carolina must face the Kentucky Wildcats in their end-of-season showdown as they prepare to travel to what could be a snowy Lexington, Ky. In this Saturday. The Gamecocks, who have lost their last five matches, entered the week as underdogs of 10.5 points.
The line looks right, with South Carolina still advancing as a freshman in the center, having more than half of its defense out due to injuries, and being commanded by an interim coach on the wings.

Kentucky has been great in defense, with the SEC’s fifth best unit (385 yards / g), but they found it difficult to score points and have the league’s worst attack in terms of yards won (291 yards / g). This will really be a battle of the worst, with a bad Wildcat attack facing a bad Gamecock defense, and now insufficient. Someone has to give in.
These two teams have met every year since South Carolina joined the Southeast Conference in 1992, with Gamecocks having a slight 17-11 lead at that time.
