We are at the end of CES 2021 and Samsung decided to launch its new flagship Galaxy S21 Line, composed of the S21, S21 Plus and S21 Ultra, with an Unpacked event in the same busy week; they start at $ 800 (£ 769). The launch, which takes place about a month before normal, included the Galaxy Buds Pro Headphones and SmartTag object tracker.
The new Galaxy S21 is all-metal and has more resistant glass for better durability, with a screen that supports adaptive updating between 48 and 120 Hz and improved protection against blue light. And, of course, there is a trio of better cameras and new AI photo processing hardware. Best bokeh! Specific mode for pets! It adds multishot processing and skin-optimized white balance to selfie options.
For video, you’ll be able to extract 8K photos from videos and take photos and videos simultaneously, plus a better photo mode. It adds a multi-camera view to video as well, with quick switching between them – which looks really cool.
The phone also has an updated processor for faster processing, with updated security hardware. Samsung worked with Unity, a maker of tools for game developers, to optimize games.
The Galaxy S21 Ultra has a better processor, screen and cameras compared to its smaller brothers. It has a new 108 megapixel image sensor that offers extra pixels to make better images in low light. “No-binning!” “Zoom in space!” This is a new algorithm, taking advantage of the new folded lens to offer better zoom between wide angle and telephoto and locking feature to reduce camera shake.
Samsung has improved compatibility with third-party services. Now it uses Android messages instead of redirecting through its own messaging system, for example. There is more support for Google’s Android APIs, such as Android Auto and the nest, within the SmartThings application.

The Ultra comes in black … ghost black. The new screen requires less power and switches between 10 and 120 Hz quickly to save battery life, but is brighter with a wider range. O S Pen Pro it is new, with Bluetooth actions, and the new S Pen was created in conjunction with Wacom.
Samsung brings its Internet of Things technology to the Galaxy SmartTag and SmartTag Plus (with ultra-wideband wireless bandwidth), small portable devices to track anything (or anyone) you can place, with a SmartThings Find application on your phone.

It is not just about phones, however. The company also launched its Galaxy Buds Pro, with enhanced sound – they add a tiny woofer for better bass. They have motion tracking sensors and Dolby audio for 360 surround, as well as active noise cancellation. And they look very different.

The microphone has also been enhanced to be more directional and has a tighter fit with adjustments to minimize wind noise. The Galaxy Buds Pro costs $ 200 in the United States and surprisingly more expensive £ 219 in the United Kingdom.
