Galaxy S21 colors shown in leak that does not suggest microSD

Samsung hasn’t officially confirmed the launch event yet, but at this point, we’re only a few weeks away from the launch of the Galaxy S21 series. As the January 14 revelation approaches, more leaks are emerging with the latest spec dump, implying that the Galaxy S21 may not have a microSD card slot since we also have a good view of all colors.

WinFuture left during the Christmas holiday with another major leak that detailed the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21 + in full. The leak confirmed the screen sizes, camera specifications, battery details and more specifications that we saw earlier. In this leak, however, we also have some new details.

On the one hand, this leak shows that the Galaxy S21 + will support the ultra-broadband radio (UWB) that was found in the Note 20 Ultra and Galaxy Z Fold 2, but the basic Galaxy S21 does not.

This leak also lacks any mention of microSD support on a Galaxy S21 device. While it is entirely possible that this favorite feature of the advanced user is maintained in the S21 family, it is a little strange that the materials from which these specifications were drawn do not have any mention of expandable memory. This would not be the first time that Samsung abandoned the slot, as the Galaxy S6 notoriously lacked microSD support before the company brought it back a year later on the S7. Most notably, the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 20 lacked support, as well as the Galaxy Z Fold 2. With these recent omissions in mind, it seems entirely possible that Samsung is saying goodbye to the microSD on the Galaxy S21.

Finally, the other big news of this leak is another clear view of all the color variants of the Galaxy S21. The renders obtained by WinFuture show the Galaxy S21’s gray, white, pink and purple colors while showing the silver, black and purple S21 + options. Personally, that “Phantom Purple” colorway is my favorite by far.

Notably, however, we saw these colors in a previous leak as well.
