Samsung’s first major launch event of the year is set to happen a little early next time, and it will bring much more than just the flagships of the 2021 Galaxy S. We hope to see the Galaxy Buds Pro official at the same time. , but several leaks and rumors have already ensured that we took an early look at these unannounced headphones. The latest leak now tells us what hardware the Buds Pro will pack inside, while informing the expected retail price in the US.

In what appear to be some slides from Samsung’s briefing material, Buds Pro are described as having an IPX7 rating (compared to IPX2 on older Galaxy Buds) and having basic 11mm drivers paired with 6.5mm tweeters. They also talk about an advanced version of active noise canceling and AirPods Pro-type spatial audio, which we heard about in an old leak.

Sources at 91mobiles say that each of these Buds Pro will house a 61mAh battery, while the value is 472mAh for the case. With these capabilities, the headphones claim to support a playback time of 8 hours, with the case extending that to 28 hours of total usage time. This resistance is comparable to Galaxy Buds Live in bean form, but it falls apart in the face of the excellent Buds + that could last up to 11 hours on a single charge – although, admittedly, they did not have ANC.

In addition to upgrading the hardware, it appears that the nickname “Pro” also means an upgrade to the price tag, as Galaxy Buds Pro may end up costing $ 199 in the U.S. – in comparison, Buds Live and Buds + were introduced for $ 169 and $ 149, respectively. We will have to wait and see if these pricing details turn out to be true and if Buds Pro really justifies a $ 50 increase in the price of Buds +.

In the meantime, you can keep your mouth open with some new Buds Pro renderers from the well-known leaker Roland Quandt, which align well with what we’ve seen so far, although we hope these headphones are also available in silver and black, in addition to the purple tone shown here.
