The game will be released in Japan for Switch on January 28, for PC on February 12
The official website for Inti Creates‘ New Gal * Gun Returns The game announced on Friday that the planned version of the game for Xbox One has been canceled. The announcement in English on the franchise’s Twitter account also stated that the game will no longer have a release for “the Xbox console family”. The game was originally scheduled for only Xbox One in Japan and Xbox One and Xbox Series X / S in the West.
The announcement explained that Inti Creates has developed the game with the goal of “faithfully reproducing” the game experience of the original Gal * Gun games. However, when evaluating the Xbox One version and discussing it with Microsoft, the developers decided that they could not guarantee a consistent gaming experience across all platforms.
Inti Creates started broadcasting the second trailer for the game’s introduction on Tuesday. The video features English subtitles.
The game will be released in Japan for Nintendo Change on January 28 and to PC via Steam on February 12th.
PQube will launch the game in English for the switch and PC via Steam on February 12th. The Switch version will have a physical and digital release.
The game will receive a collector’s edition of a birthday suit, which includes a 100-page art book, a set of three soundtrack CDs, six metal badges, a 10th anniversary collector’s coin, six art cards, one cover booklet and a pair of “safety glasses.”
