Florida state released its 2021 football schedule on Thursday morning.
The Seminoles open the 2021 season at Doak S. Campbell Stadium on Sunday, September 5, when they receive Notre Dame. The season will end in Florida on Saturday, November 27th. Other games outside the conference include dates at home with Jacksonville State (Saturday, September 11) and UMass (Saturday, October 23).
The programming part of the Atlantic Coast Conference includes home games with Louisville, Miami, NC State and Syracuse, while FSU goes on the road to face Boston College, Clemson, North Carolina and Wake Forest.
It includes seven home games and five street competitions.
“We are excited about the 2021 football season, and the announcement of the next schedule puts many wheels in motion,” said David Coburn, Florida State Athletics Director. “I know our coaches and players are happy to know what the season will be like, not to mention our Seminole Boosters and fans who can start making their plans.”

Season tickets will go on sale on February 1st.
FSU was 3-6, including 2-6 against ACC, in 2020, his first season under coach Mike Norvell.
Some additional notes on the 2021 schedule:
– FSU will welcome Notre Dame to Tallahassee for the third time in a series in which the Seminoles lead 6-4.
– In last year’s showdown with Jacksonville State, Florida State gained more than 250 yards running and passing in a game for the first time since 2016.
– The state of Florida leads the all-time series with Wake Forest, 30-7-1, including a 9-4 mark at Winston-Salem.
– FSU holds a 16-5 lead, including 10-2 at Tallahassee, in the all-time series against Louisville.
– FSU has a 6-0 home record as part of an 11-2 all-time lead over Syracuse.
– The State of Florida leads the all-time series 16-3-1 against North Carolina after defeating Tar Heels in fifth place in the ranking of Doak Campbell Stadium on October 17, 2020, making Mike Norvell the only coach in the ACC’s history of winning a victory over one of the top five teams in its first season.
– The matchup with UMass is the first for the programs.
– The game in Clemson resumes a series that the state of Florida leads by 20-13. The 2020 clash was postponed and then canceled due to COVID-related issues for the Tigers.
– The state of North Carolina is the only opponent of the conference that the FSU has faced every season since joining ACC in 1992.
– The November 13th date is the most recent for an FSU-Miami game since 2014 and only the fourth November game in the series since 1992.
– On FSU’s last trip to Boston College, the Seminoles won a 38-31 victory to improve to 13-5 overall against the Eagles and 7-3 at Chestnut Hill.
– The state of Florida has won four of the last five fights against Florida in Gainesville.
