As the PS Plus trend continues into February 2021, it is worth looking at how the month marks all the right boxes for a selection of games.
PlayStation Plus subscribers can claim their three games of the month now, these being AllStars Destruction, Control: Ultimate Edition, and Concrete Genie. It goes without saying that, while comments for AllStars Destruction it’s probably not exactly what Lucid Games was looking for, it’s an impressive month.
In fact, it seems that the last time PS Plus had a “bad” month was in May 2020, when its selected titles were Farming Simulator 19 and Cities: Skylines. Many fans were in an uproar, even though many signed a petition to change the games of the month, but that is all a matter of opinion in the end. Limiting what makes a good PS Plus month and what makes the rare month bad is not an exact science, even though it is sometimes obvious. Interestingly, however, free PS Plus games for February 2021 still manage to form the perfect checklist for a month of games.

PS Plus – AllStars Destruction
Arguably, AllStars Destruction is a game that looks like it will develop a dedicated fan base, even though most are not exactly enthusiastic about it. This game tries to fill the same shoes that Autumn staff and Rocket League, but misses the mark. But there is no problem, as the success of the two games mentioned above is special and not all games (including a PlayStation exclusive) can replicate it. Still, AllStars Destruction it will probably be played for quite a while and fills the niche of the PS Plus “friendly” multiplayer game entry.
What that means, in terms of a month’s quality, is that PS Plus is working to bring players together. Even if AllStars Destruction‘microphone was not ideal on the first day, having ways to continue playing online and new games to play with friends is basically the heart of modern games.
PS Plus – Control Ultimate Edition
However, multiplayer is not everyone’s preference. Many prefer strong, single-player experiences Control: Ultimate Edition covers that front. To control watch the players take on the role of Jesse Faden as she searches for her brother and fights relentlessly against him. In many ways, it is a modern video game adaptation of Star Warsit is the concept of the Force, but it is neither here nor there.
In fact, where To control basically divides PS Plus subscribers into two fields this month. It is totally possible to be in both fields, but for those who want a stupid and complicated multiplayer game, there are AllStars Destruction. Those who want a fun game of several hours with an interesting story To control. PS Plus manages to take a player and a multiplayer this month and provide a little bit of everything for both, even if none of the games scratch that particular itch anyway.
PS Plus – Concrete Genie
If splitting PS Plus with a multiplayer and single-player game helps the service reach the checklist, Concrete Genie it is undoubtedly what takes you to the next level. To control it was probably played by many (although this update is free via this method), AllStars Destruction it’s new, but Concrete Genie released in 2019 as a game that many may have slept on. It’s almost as if this month’s PS Plus approach was something old, something new and something blue. AllStars Destruction it is, in a way, out of nowhere; Control: Ultimate Edition, in a way, it is a new version of the game; and Concrete Genie, in a way, fills the magic formula as something old.
But beyond that, Concrete Genie has some optional VR elements. VR is still in its infancy, but there is a real chance that it will one day have a greater impact on the gaming industry. Anyway, although PS Plus occasionally includes a virtual reality game, the option here does not limit anyone from playing it, however they want. The limitations of its VR mode are also not a big problem; it is the idea more than anything else. With SP, MP and VR playing a role in February games, as well as a unique and generally broad appeal for each game, the PS Plus hotstreak is clearly still not slowing down – it is still on fire.
