Fans are counting down until the new PlayStation Plus list is revealed by Sony for PS4 and PS5 console owners.
The good news is that it won’t be long before we find out what is being planned by the tech giant for PS Plus in January 2021.
Players will not only find out how many free games are being released, but we’ll also see if any special PlayStation 5 bonuses are included.
Unlike Microsoft, Sony has confirmed that it will offer free PS5 games as part of its multiplayer subscription service.
The caveat here is that the tech giant has not guaranteed that it will happen every month, which makes sense when you think about how new the PS5 console is.
A message from Sony confirms: “All PlayStation Plus members will continue to receive at least two great PS4 games per month.
“It is our goal to add PS5 games regularly to the monthly game line, so come back with us on the PS Blog for our monthly PlayStation Plus announcements.
“PlayStation Plus members who own PS5 will be able to redeem and play a curated library of PS4 games that defined the generation, such as Batman: Arkham Knight, Bloodborne, Fallout 4, God of War, Monster Hunter: World, Persona 5 and many more . “
And the big question for many next-generation console owners will be whether an enhanced PS5 game will be available in January along with the two new PS4 games.
The good news is that players don’t have to wait long to discover Sony’s complete answer.
For those awaiting news of free games, Sony will announce PS Plus giveaways for January 2021, around 4:30 pm on Wednesday, December 30.
The free games revealed by the tech giant will not be available for download until the following week, on January 5, but there is still plenty of time to check out other offers available now.
After a series of great giveaways in 2020, PS Plus subscribers hope for another strong month in January 2021.
Last year’s PlayStation Plus line was a bit confusing, but there was no lack of variety.
January 2020 was spearheaded by Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection and Goat Simulator, who made an interesting mix.
Not only can you play like a fearless goat, but you can also play three classic titles from Sony’s past.
There is a small chance that we will find out what Sony planned for the free PS Plus games in January 2021 through some kind of leak.
But the chances of that happening in the next few days are minimal, so it’s worth keeping an eye on the official PlayStation social media channels.
