Sony makes the surprising move to reveal one of the free PlayStation Plus games for April 2021 a few months in advance.
Sony took a little longer than usual this month to reveal the next batch of free PS Plus games. However, many would agree that it was worth the wait, as the free PS Plus games for March 2021 include a total of four colossal games, including the critically acclaimed one Final Fantasy 7 Remake, which is not even a year old. But while it took Sony some time to announce free PS Plus games for March 2021, it wasted no time giving fans a preview of what to expect from April’s programming.
During the last PlayStation State of Play event, Sony announced the first free PS Plus game for April 2021. It turns out, Oddworld: Soulstorm on PS5 it will be available for PS Plus subscribers to complain when it launches on April 6. Strange world franchise, Oddworld: Soulstorm is described by the developers as a 2.9D cinematic puzzle puzzle and a re-imagination of Oddworld: Abe’s Exoddus.

Oddworld: Soulstorm was one of the first games revealed for Sony’s PlayStation 5 console, which is appropriate since the original game is closely linked to the PlayStation brand. Oddworld: Soulstorm on PS5 you’ll have some unique features that help you stand out from other versions of the game, including superior graphics, as well as support for DualSense control.
With the PS5, Sony has acquired the habit of announcing free PS Plus games in advance. He did this when he announced Bugsnax as the first free PS Plus game for PS5, and also did it with AllStars Destruction. similarly to Oddworld: Soulstorm, PlayStation Plus subscribers knew months in advance what they could expect AllStars Destruction to be one of your free games for February.
The other free PS Plus games for April 2021 are being kept secret for now, and are unlikely to be revealed until the end of April. However, fans can count on at least two PS4 games joining Oddworld: Soulstorm for April, and it’s possible that a free PlayStation VR game will be added to the mix as well. Sony is known to do this occasionally, with the most recent example being the free PS Plus games for March 2021, including the exclusive PSVR Farpoint.
For now, PS Plus subscribers can still claim free PS Plus games for February 2021. They include those mentioned above AllStars Destruction on PS5, Control: Ultimate Edition, and Concrete Genie.
Oddworld: Soulstorm is released on April 6 for PC, PS4 and PS5.
