Free agent WR Marvin Jones chooses Jaguars over Raiders, Texans

It is clear that the Raiders intend to act as a free agent this year. So far, they have only signed an external free agent, gaining an advantage with rusher Yannick Ngakoue. Mike Mayock made it clear recently that Raiders are looking to delve into the free agency this year and have a number of gaps to fill.

One of the positions that seek to attract someone is the wide receiver. And with Nelson Agholor signing with the Patriots to open the free agency, they should look outside.

The Raiders are linked to veteran AJ Green, but clearly in the twilight of his career, Green would not be a priority hire. One more booking option.

There are a handful of great first-rate receivers. One of the first to agree to the terms was Marvin Jones Jr. He is going to Jacksonville. And according to Mike Silver, the Raiders were also trying to sign the former Lions receiver.

The Jones deal is reportedly a two-year, $ 14.5 million deal with $ 9.2 million fully guaranteed according to ESPN Adam Schefter.

This deal comes a day after WR Corey Davis has already agreed to the Jets’ terms.

But even with the departure of Davis and Jones, there is still a lot of talent out there on the receiver, including the top guy, Jones’ former teammate Kenny Golladay, as well as Steelers Pro Bowl ex-receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster.

Others include: TY Hilton, Curtis Samuel, Sammy Watkins, Keenan Cole and Breshad Perriman
