Fredrik Eklund announced that he has been officially sober for 160 days in a post made to his Instagram account on Thursday.

The Million Dollar Listing New York star shared a selfie and wrote a long message in the post caption to express his feelings about reaching the milestone.

The 43-year-old started by writing, ‘Today marks 160 days sober and it’s incredible.’

The reality television personality then spoke about the physical benefits she has experienced since abstaining from alcohol.

‘I have more energy and clarity, I look and feel younger, I sleep better with less stress and without anxiety. My body is singing, it doesn’t hurt, ‘he wrote.

Eklund continued to write about his previous drinking story and described himself as a “highly functional addict” before expressing that making the decision to stay sober was not easy for him.

The broker then noticed that, after deciding that he would move forward with his life decision, he felt much better about himself.

Confession: Eklund also described his past self as a ‘highly functional addict’ and admitted that it took him a long time to accept his alcohol addiction

Specifically, he wrote, ‘once I really decided, it was really liberating. The pressure has eased somewhat. The pressure of not being honest. The pressure of always putting up a facade.

Eklund described the mental benefits he obtained as a result of being sober and assured his 1.3 million followers that he would remain busy, despite the effects of the global pandemic on the real estate sector.

‘I don’t care about the future as before. I don’t question my ability as a father as I used to do. Meanwhile, business is growing rapidly, even in these strange and scary times, ‘he wrote.

The reality show also commented that it was surprised to learn that sobriety made it ‘more fun’.

Eklund went on to tell a story about a dinner he attended at The French Laundry, where the mixologist was able to accommodate his desire to stay away from alcohol and create ’14 mocktails for the 14 dishes’.

The realtor said that the next morning, ‘I felt something totally new: being proud of myself!’
