Frank Vogel makes a big change in the Lakers’ lineup before the game vs. Pistons

Los Angeles Lakers coach Frank Vogel is being forced to make a big change in the starting lineup for Thursday’s game, putting Kyle Kuzma in place of injured Anthony Davis.

Davis was excluded from the Lakers’ road game against the Detroit Pistons because of a right hip injury, the last injury suffered this season by the star striker.

Not having Davis available will remove a player who currently averages 21.9 points, 8.8 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.3 steals per game.

However, Kuzma is no stranger to being part of the Lakers’ starting lineup. Prior to Davis’ arrival last season, he started 68 of his 70 games during the 2018-19 season and started four of 19 games for the team this season.

The Lakers hope to return to winning ways after losing the 107-106 decision to the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday night, dropping to 14-5 this year.
